We just had a customer who had bought a new PC and wanted it setup and their data copied from their old PC. We visited the customer and collected both PC's. We then carried out all the time consuming work at our workshop. Afterwards we delivered the newly setup PC back to the customer and finished off by setting up their printer and WiFi. We also answered any questions and gave them a tutorial of Windows 10. We made sure the customer was completely satisfied before we left them to it.

Recently we had a customer with a 10 year old XP machine that they wanted to upgrade. With a machine that old we recommended a new machine. The brief from the customer was for a basic Windows 10 machine as cheap as possible with enough USB ports for 2 printers and a camera. The customer needed data transferred from the old machine to the new machine. The budget was under £400, we didn't think it could be done without supplying junk and we were not prepared to do that. This is what we came up with, a mini PC with an Intel Celeron Processor, 8GB of RAM, 120GB Solid State Hard Drive, WiFi, wireless keyboard & mouse, 4 port USB 3.0 Hub (not pictured) and Microsoft Windows 10 64bit. Although the processor is at the lower end of the performance scale, don't be mistaken that this is a slow and incapable machine, far from it. The 8GB of RAM and fast solid state hard drive allow this little wonder to boot, surf and carry out general office tasks with ease. We customized the original specification of this machine to get the most bang for buck. We opted for upgrades on a couple of key components to fully optimize its performance yet stay within budget. You can see below the machine it replaced, the most striking difference is just how small this mini PC is. We collected the old machine from the customer and copied the data from the old machine to the new machine. We also installed their favourite software applications and setup their email. We then delivered the machine back, installed it, installed the printers and gave a tutorial on how to use Windows 10. The customer was charged £390 all in.
If you want to upgrade your old and out dated PC to a mini Windows 10 PC then please contact us and we can supply a new machine to meet your needs with the personal touch. We received this laptop the other day. The symptoms were that it was getting hot and randomly switching itself off. We stripped it down and found the fan, heat-sink and vents blocked with dust. We thoroughly cleaned everything, applied new thermal pads and reassembled. We then ran a stress test to run the laptop at 100% load to make sure the temperature remained stable and it no longer crashed.
